This week the Animation Studio began promoting the new Disney Frozen podcast. They are blasting posts across all the Disney platforms to get as much synergy energy as possible. The missed opportunity that I saw this week was in engagement. For instance, as you can see from the IG post below, a follower asked if Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel would be voicing the new characters. Unfortunately, no one from the Animation Studio social team engaged with a response. I happen to know the answer because my mom’s company made the podcast! The truth is that they used voice actors, not screen actors, who were able to mimic the voices of the original characters. Apparently, the actors are so good that listeners won’t know that Josh Gad isn’t voicing Olaf! But it wasn’t like Disney didn’t give the actors the offer to voice the characters. Sounds like they were all too busy with new projects, so Disney went ahead without them.
