I asked a friend of mine who has a TikTok account to let me look at The Walt Disney Animation Studios account. Wow! There are a lot of videos and huge engagement. It is an all-encompassing site. I’m thinking I might need to re-think my old-versus-young theory as it relates to social engagement around the studio. Look at the engagement metrics on this post sharing some video of the upcoming Disney movie “Wish.” Facebook and Instagram can only dream of these numbers! The user generated content is what also made this site interesting. The official social posts are interspersed with fan content, which is different, and I find it cool. Maybe I also need to rethink my personal TikTok ban!
